The Chancel Choir has over thirty singers under the leadership of Music Director Claire Rydell. The selection of music is wide-ranging, including contemporary, traditional and occasional classical anthems. Anyone who likes to sing and is willing to commit to regular rehearsals (Thursday nights from 7:30 to 9:00 pm) and a Sunday morning service is invited to sing in the Chancel Choir.
The Handbell Choir plays several times during the year at Sunday Worship services and at one or two special occasions during the year. Previous instrumental experience is not required to join the Handbell Choir - just a delight in making music.
The Hand Chime Choir The Chime Choir plays English Handbells as well as Chime Bars and performs during the Worship Service several times each year. It is primarily a youth choir, but is open to all ages. Knowledge of music is helpful but not required. This group has participated twice in the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers Conference for young people in San Diego. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.
The Praise Band consists of a small group of talented young musicians from the congregation who lead the congregation in singing at the regular Sunday Worship service.
The Early Music Ensemble is a group of musicians mostly drawn from the congregation who play recorders, the Celtic harp, cellos and hand drums. The Ensemble plays occasionally during the regular Sunday Worship service. Anyone who enjoys this type of music is welcome and encouraged to join the Ensemble.
